Private Player Messages
Private correspondence between PLAYER accounts.
Address a player
Open MESSAGE on another player’s Public Profile, or MESSAGES → NEW MESSAGE and enter their permanent Player ID. Check the current username, avatar and frame before sending. Friendship is not required. These are player/account conversations, not character messages.
Private correspondence
Only the two participants can read a conversation. Send plain text of up to 2,000 characters. Files, images and rich text are not supported. Blocking prevents new messages in either direction; unblocking does not send anything automatically. Historical correspondence remains private.
Inbox and reading
The top MESSAGES button opens one inbox for player conversations, Samuel Reed and Development Team letters, ordered by latest activity. NPC and system badges distinguish special senders. Player conversations show a latest-message preview and unread indicator. Opening a conversation marks received messages in the displayed page read. Inbox browsing alone does not mark them read. This is not realtime chat: open Messages again to check for new letters. There is no automatic message-history refresh.
Bounded history
Only the latest 100 player messages per conversation are retained. Open OLDER MESSAGES for earlier retained pages. Alpha supports up to 200 player conversations per account. Samuel Reed and system letters share the inbox while keeping their existing tutorial, reward and read behavior; player-history retention never removes them.
