Provisions
Prepare stored food into Household Provisions and manage every character's Energy supply.
Economic Loop
Supported crops, livestock foods and crafted foods → Account Storage → Prepare Provisions → Household Provisions → character Energy. Preparation is irreversible: the food leaves Storage and becomes an account-wide numerical reserve.
Food Values
- Tomatoes: 1 Provision per food item
- Corn: 2 Provisions per food item
- Potatoes: 3 Provisions per food item
- Oats: 2 Provisions per food item
- Wheat: 2 Provisions per food item
- Eggs: 2 Provisions per food item
- Milk: 3 Provisions per food item
- Beef Meat: 5 Provisions per food item
- Chicken Meat: 4 Provisions per food item
- Wheat Flour: 3 Provisions per food item
- Cornmeal: 3 Provisions per food item
- Preserved Meat: 8 Provisions per food item
- Vegetable Rations: 6 Provisions per food item
- Tomato Soup: 4 Provisions per food item
Preparing Provisions
- Wheat Seeds, Corn Seeds, Seed Potato, Oat Seeds, and Tomato Seeds are planting resources—not food.
- Food is not consumed directly from character Inventory in the current system.
- Keep a supported food item in constructed Account Storage.
- Enter a positive whole quantity on its food card and review the Provision preview.
- Choose PREPARE. The server validates the food identity, quantity, Storage holding, and canonical value.
- On success, the food is removed once and Household Provisions increase once. This conversion cannot be reversed.
Energy Range
Every character has Energy from 0 to 100. Values 1–100 are active and 0 is EXHAUSTED. Energy cannot fall below 0.
Housing Energy
Energy does not regenerate naturally. At the daily 07:00 reconciliation, an active residence restores Energy according to its house level, up to +15 at the maximum level. State Apartments receive the minimum housing bonus.
Daily Drain
Every Citizen and higher-status character loses 10 Energy at 07:00 server-local time each day. Laborers lose 0. Daily drain clamps at 0. Offline elapsed days reconcile authoritatively, with a bounded catch-up, and each actual delta is journaled.
Activity Eligibility
An activity may start only when the character can pay its complete Energy cost without going below zero. For example, a 10-Energy activity accepts 10 → 0 but rejects 9, 0, and every negative value.
Manual Fill
The +10, +25, and +50 buttons restore that much Energy immediately, while FILL TO MAX restores toward 100. Each spends one Household Provision per Energy actually restored and uses partial reserves safely.
Auto Supply
Auto Supply is character-local and begins OFF. After each due 07:00 Daily Drain, an enabled character automatically spends Household Provisions to restore toward 100. Limited reserves restore as much as possible.
Energy Controls
Use +10, +25, or +50 for an immediate manual refill, or FILL TO MAX to restore toward 100. Every action spends only the Energy actually restored.
- Auto Supply spends the shared Household Provisions balance only after the daily drain.
- Quick Fill and Fill To Max work through zero and use partial reserves safely.
- The Auto Supply ON/OFF toggle persists immediately without a Save button or temporary Saved message.
Prepare and Ledger
PREPARE accepts a positive whole quantity no greater than the food held in Storage. Successful preparation immediately updates Storage, estimated supply, and the Provisions Ledger. The bounded ledger records food preparation, manual and automatic restoration, daily drain, and activity Energy changes without replacing the financial ledger.
Formulas
- Provision Gain = Food Quantity × Provision Value
- Estimated Supply = Household Provisions ÷ Daily Household Drain
- Energy Restored = the smaller of available Household Provisions and Energy needed to reach 100
Examples
- 10 Potatoes produce 30 Provisions.
- Energy 4 with a 10-Energy activity needs 6 Provisions before the activity can start; the activity then leaves Energy at 0.
- At Energy 5, the daily Citizen drain applies only -5 because 0 is the hard floor.
Important Notes
- Daily drain changes Energy directly; it does not deduct Household Provisions.
- A rejected activity creates no Energy journal entry and spends nothing.
- The Provisions Ledger is separate from the financial ledger and records actual Energy or Provision deltas.
- Estimated Supply divides the reserve by the current combined Citizen-and-higher daily drain; when household drain is zero, the page avoids division by zero.
Workshop goods in existing household systems
Crafted products use the existing Storage, Provisions, Livestock and Marketplace controls. Workshop stock must first leave its supply room; it is not automatically available to the household.
- Wheat Flour: 3 Provisions per unit when prepared from Account Storage.
- Cornmeal: 3 Provisions per unit when prepared from Account Storage.
- Preserved Meat: 8 Provisions per unit when prepared from Account Storage.
- Vegetable Rations: 6 Provisions per unit when prepared from Account Storage.
- Tomato Soup: 4 Provisions per unit when prepared from Account Storage.
- Animal Feed adds 3 feed units and Bran adds 1 in either a Coop or Barn. Move them into Account Storage before loading the Feed Bin.
- Wheat Flour is a trade product and cannot become Provisions directly. Salt, Workshop Fuel and Preserving Jars are production inputs.
- The one-time starter 10 Household Provisions are already prepared. They can refill Energy before Storage exists; normal food preparation requires Storage.
